Nick Schebetta had a painful Monday night in Mexico City. The longtime 49ers employee, who has shot and produced video for the team since 2017, showed up to the 49ers-Cardinals matchup at Estadio Azteca with food poisoning, according to several media members.

While the Niners romped, it only got worse for Schebetta. In the third quarter, with San Francisco leading 24-10, Jimmy Garoppolo found Brandon Aiyuk on a crossing pattern from 18 yards out. The Cardinals offered little resistance, as they had all night, and Aiyuk cruised into the end zone to salt the game away.

The rout was truly on, and Aiyuk whipped the ball through the back of the end zone to celebrate, drilling Schebetta in the leg.

Aiyuk instantly realized what happened and joined several teammates in jogging over to Schebetta to check on him. From several angles, Aiyuk, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and even a referee can be seen giving Schebetta hugs and pats on the back as he gingerly gets up.

Schebetta was seen laughing it off, and as NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco pointed out, it could have been way worse. He moved at the last second and got hit in the quad instead of a straight shot to the groin. The producer is reportedly fine.
